USA WRESTLING - PANTHERS SHINE AT JUNIOR NATIONAL DUALS

Last week, 2 of our Hillcrest Wrestlers competed in the USA Wrestling Junior National Duals in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Alexa Rodriguez and Aaron Michaels competed in the 100 lb. weight classes in Greco Roman and Freestyle for Team Texas. These Panthers competed in 16 duals over 4 days against some of the best teams in the country.

In Women’s Freestyle, Team Texas finished 9th out of 37 teams, while in Greco Roman, they took home the Bronze Medal, finishing 3rd out of 20 teams.

In Men’s Freestyle, Team Texas also finished 9th out of 37 teams, while in Greco Roman, they finished 11th out of 38 teams.

We are very proud of the hard work these 2 have put in so far this summer, with an individual National Championship tournament coming up for Alexa and Aaron in mid July in Fargo, North Dakota.
